THIS POST IS FOR ALL CLASSES.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD AFTERNOON. Next Thursday, October 27 all Irvine schools will be participating in the International Walk To School Day. All students and staff are invited to meet at Castle Park on the corner of Yale and Bryan at 7:30am(I will be their at 7am). As part of our ongoing efforts to promote healthy lifestyles and a cleaner environment, we are asking students to explore alternatives for getting to and from school using their own power, instead of a car. Students are encouraged to walk or ride (bikes, scooters, or skateboards) whenever possible.
So I encourage you all to walk or ride your bike/scooter/skateboard etc. to Castle Park and then WE WILL ALL WALK BACK TO SCHOOL FROM CASTLE PARK TOGETHER TO SEND A MESSAGE TO THE COMMUNITY. For those students who are interested in earning extra credit in PE click on the link below. Please talk over the extra credit form with your parents and come up with a plan on how you can walk or ride your bike/scooter/skateboard to school.
It is not mandatory that you meet at Castle Park. It’s up to you. We will have teacher supervision, a crossing guard and Irvine PD helping out. Let me know if you have any questions. There will be a ton of people meeting so do not miss out.
