REMINDER. I am not a big fan of drinking Coke or any kind of soda. But, if you are going to drink soda why not drink a “cleaner” product. Do the negatives outweigh the positives? That could be the case.

Read the 7 Side Effects of Soda above. Make a decision for yourself. It’s not a big deal to have a soda every once in a while. The problem is at your age you have MANY sodas in a day or in a week. There are some health benefits to soda that you can read below.

Ingredients
The biggest difference between Mexican Coke and American Coke is one has cane sugar and one has high fructose corn syrup.

American Coke
Water, high-fructose corn syrup, caramel color, phosphoric acid, natural flavors, caffeine.

Mexican Coke
Carbonated water, sugar, caramel color, phosphoric acid, natural flavors, caffeine.

Health Benefits
1-The sugar in Mexican Coke is a fast way to get energy to your cells as it is easily digested. Remember to drink Coke with a fat(coconut oil, dairy, meat) and a protein(dairy, meat, bone broth, gelatin) to balance out your blood sugar. Otherwise your blood sugar will go high, then crash and you will not feel to good. The calorie amount of high fructose corn syrup can sometimes be 4-5 times higher then what is listed on the label. So if the label says carbohydrates 100 calories it could really be 500 calories.

2-The carbonation will increase carbon dioxide levels which will bring oxygen to our tissues, increase energy production, decrease inflammation, and reduce swelling.

3-The caffeine in Coke will increase blood volume to the brain, protect the liver, provide magnesium and vitamin B1, stop the production of free radicals which damage our cells.
